Kiana Whitsundays is fully air-conditioned below deck where there are large roomy saloon areas and comfortable cabins, including private twin/double cabins, with plenty of space for everyone.

Try scuba diving (no experience necessary) and snorkelling, or  simply sit back and relax on board.

With only 14 passengers per trip, each trip is personalised for your group, allowing you to see the best of the Whitsundays.

Check-in: Passengers are encouraged to check in the day prior to travel between 7am-5pm at Whitsunday Sailing Adventures office in Airlie Beach.

  • Appropriate clothing (in winter pack a hoody/jacket for evenings)
  • Swim wear and beach towel
  • Hat and Sunglasses
  • Please consider a Re-useable/Sustainable Water Bottle
  • Please use Reef/Coral Safe Sunscreen
  • Camera/Phone
  • Alcoholic Drinks BYO (No alcohol is sold on-board)
  • Certified Scuba Divers – Your Certification Card
Please Note:
Every guest is issued with an eco-bag upon check-in at the Whitsunday Sailing Adventures office when checking in. This is to pack your belongings and these bags are permitted on board only.

Airlie Beach → Airlie Beach | Departs Monday and Friday

With a Kiana Whitsundays cruise you will get to enjoy the very best the Whitsunday Islands and Outer Great Barrier Reef has to offer. 

Sail, snorkel and dive through the inner fringing reefs and Outer Reefs, visiting icons such as Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet Lookout, and Hook Island. Part of the trip is an awesome bushwalk, enjoy time at the beach, as well as getting involved in some authentic sailing.

Your crew will choose an itinerary based on the tides and weather conditions to make sure you make the most out of your tour and have the best experience possible.

Bait Reed (Outer Great Barrier Reef):

Kiana Whitsundays visits the best Outer Reef location from the Whitsundays, Bait Reef. Due to it’s high protection status, Bait Reef is abundant in marine life and corals, ready to be explored. Its famous natural lagoon provides a safe haven for overnight mooring and is an eden for snorkelling and scuba diving. Bait Reef is about 2 – 3 hours beyond the islands and provides a picturesque journey, with an unbroken horizon and beautiful blue waters.

Whitehaven Beach:

Spend an afternoon at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the iconic Whitehaven Beach. The purity of the white silica sands means they never get hot enough to burn your feet, so take all the time in the world to explore Whitehaven’s stunning 7km of shoreline. Voted one of the best beaches in the world and the best in Australia, it is a favourite stop in the Whitsundays.

Hill Inlet Lookout:

The ultimate photo opportunity. Your trip on Kiana Whitsundays includes a guided bushwalk through the Whitsunday National park and a visit to the spectacular Hill Inlet lookout. Here you can witness the world famous swirling sands below, which are constantly changing and never the same. This is the second most photographed place in all of Australia.

Hook Island:

Enjoy some great diving and snorkelling opportunities around Hook Island with beautiful soft and hard corals, diverse marine life and colourful finned residents provide the perfect playground for exploring.

Whale Watching:

During June through to September each year boats encounter vast numbers of migrating whales coming to the Whitsundays to give birth. The most common whale that you will see during this period are Humpbacks although occasionally other types such as Dwarf Minke whales can be spotted.

Note: There are no set itineraries as the trips vary according to the weather, allowing for a customised and personalised experience.

    – Private twin – two single beds in a private cabin

  • Meals & Allergies:
    – Most additional Dietary Requirements can be catered
    – Please ask us about dietary requirements before booking

Luggage and Packing
  • Every guest is issued with an eco-bag to pack their belongings. These bags are permitted on board only.
  • Luggage Storage is offered at WSA’s check-in office at a one off minimal charge.
  • BYO alcoholic drinks allowed on this vessel

Important Information
  • Itineraries may be subject to change dependant on weather and other circumstances
  • Prices are in Australian Dollars (AU$)
  • Each passenger must have a clear understanding of safety directions and instructions given in English by the crew and be able to complete the required safety forms in English.
    A passenger is only able to participate in water activities if they have a level of swimming experience.
    If a passenger is unable to swim they will still be able to participate in the sailing trip, but will not but able to participate in water activities such as snorkelling. 
    In order to meet our minimum safety standards, passengers must be able to exit the vessel unassisted in the unlikely case of an emergency.

Scuba Diving
  • All divers must complete a Queensland Dive Medical Questionnaire. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (eg asthma, heart disease, diabetes) may preclude some people from diving.
  • Minimum Dive Age: 12 Years
  • Certified Scuba Divers: This is not a Scuba Liveaboard Vessel
  • Additional Diving is subject to availability.
    – 1st dive – FREE
    – 2nd dive – AU$80*
    – 3rd dive – AU$70*
    – Additional Dives – AU$50*
    *prices can change without notice

Cancellation/Refund Policy
  • If you cancel at least 15 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
  • If you cancel within 14 days of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
  • Unless otherwise stated all refunds will incur a 10% administration fee
