This tour enters the national park when all other tour operators have left, perfect for exploring, with peaceful trails and empty beaches and happy wildlife.
This immersive experience is perfect for wildlife enthusiasts, nature photographers, and nature lovers.
James’ small family business practices sustainability on all of their tours. All guests are encouraged not to use single-use plastics and the business strives to use only reusable or compostable items across their operations.
Guides are all registered volunteers of FNQ Wildlife Rescue, helping and rescuing injured wildlife in their time of need.
Monthly donations are made to the Bush Heritage Australia, conserving Australia’s magnificent landscapes and irreplaceable native species forever.
12:30pm – Pickup in Cairns
Embark on a journey along the magical Great Barrier Reef Drive, heading north on the region’s most scenic coastal highway. As we approach the Daintree Rainforest, notice the changes in habitat diversity, setting the scene for an unforgettable adventure.
(We also pick-up at all beaches and resorts including Palm Cove and Port Douglas)
2:15pm – Join expert local wildlife guide and crocodile advocate David White, aboard his quiet solar powered wildlife cruise.
Experience the beauty of the Daintree River on a quiet, clean solar electric boat with zero environmental impact. Immerse yourself in nature and witness a range of wildlife, including crocodiles, birds, snakes, frogs, fish, and bats. With a 99% success rate of spotting crocodiles, this is a nature lover’s paradise. Enjoy afternoon tea before departure.

4:00pm – Daintree Rainforest
Enter the lands of the local Kuku Yalanji people and be captivated by the beauty of the pristine rainforest, cool streams, towering mountains, and freshwater valleys. This living museum is an area of ancient tropical rainforest spanning 120,000 hectares, making it the largest tropical rainforest in Australia. Experience the complex ecosystems in this World Heritage Area by walking numerous tracks and perhaps taking a swim during the summer months.
5:00pm – Cape Tribulation Beach
Explore the natural beauty of Cape Tribulation Beach, surrounded by a semicircle of hills dominated by Mt Sorrow and Mt Hemmant. Take in the gorgeous afternoon lighting from various lookouts as you enjoy an hour of exploration along the coastline.
6:00pm – Dinner in the forest
Indulge in a delightful range of cuisine at one of the best restaurants in the jungle, where nature sets the perfect backdrop for your evening meal. As part of your Daintree Wildlife Journey, we’ll make sure you’re well taken care of, including this culinary experience.
7:00pm Night spotting in the Northern Daintree
Experience the thrill of a nocturnal wildlife tour in the Wet Tropics. With much of the local wildlife adopting a nocturnal lifestyle to avoid the heat of the day in the tropical climate, this tour offers a unique opportunity to observe a range of fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.
9:30pm – Depart Daintree
Relax and enjoy the ride back to Cairns in the comfort of our modern vehicles. Cross the Daintree River on the Cable Ferry and take the opportunity to review and share your photos of this incredible adventure.
11:30pm – Arrive Cairns
